The school’s work to promote pupils’ personal development and welfare is outstanding. Pupils are highly motivated to do their very best. Our Teams have a maximum number of 30 children and are formed as mixed-age classes. Stanley Crook Primary School benefits from a highly skilled, knowledgeable and commitment staff team, which puts children at the heart of everything.
School is open for teaching purposes for a total of 32.5 hours each week. Morning registration is 8:45am and the end of the school day is 3:15pm.
School also offers a range of ‘wraparound’ provision, including:
- Breakfast Club (Monday-Friday) from :7.45am
- Curriculum After-School Clubs (Monday-Friday) 3:15pm to 4:15pm
- Wraparound Club (Monday-Friday) 3:15pm to 5:30pm
School has an admission limit of 19 pupils for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Applying for a school place if your child has an Education, Health and Care Plan or a Statement of SEN
Children and young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan (or Statement of Special Education Needs) follow a different admission and transfer process for a new school. Please continue to complete Durham County Council’s parental preference form, as part of the admission process to a new school. You continue to have a right to request a particular school and this will be considered alongside the information that we have about your child’s special educational needs. The information would have been provided as part of the Education, Health and Care assessment or following the review meeting.
