Team Morpurgo Teacher and Deputy Headteacher
Mrs Wilkinson completed her PGCE at the University of Durham in 2003. She came to Stanley Crook Primary School as an NQT and all three of her children have previously attended the school as pupils. She has held various roles including Maths Subject Lead, Assessment Lead, Early Years Lead and she now also holds the role of Deputy Headteacher. Mrs Wilkinson has enjoyed teaching throughout the school in all Key Stages although her heart now lies firmly with KS1 where she is constantly striving to improve provision to enable children to continue to have the best education.
Currently, Mrs Wilkinson is also training as a Maths Mastery Specialist with the National Centre of Excellence in Teaching Maths (NCETM) and is working with the Archimedes NE Maths Hub to support and train teachers in Maths Mastery, both at Stanley Crook Primary and in selected cluster schools.
When she isn’t in school, Mrs Wilkinson enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with her family and her dog.
